How long does an ISO certificate last, and what keeps it valid in Iraq?
Read the certificate’s validity dates and confirm the issuing body’s ongoing audit and renewal arrangements. Do not assume that every certificate or accreditation follows the same schedule.
Check the actual certificate
Review the company name, standard, activities, sites and validity shown on the certificate. Ask the issuing body to confirm status where needed. A date alone does not show whether the certificate covers the work a buyer is assessing.
Confirm the ongoing arrangements
The issuing body’s requirements determine the continuing assessment and renewal steps. Keep the relevant instructions and dates with the certificate record. Contact the body promptly if an audit or renewal date may be missed.
Separate certification from vendor registration
